* Plus the donor part, if your drive needs one. We show you the part, its real cost and the receipt before you approve. It is charged up front and is not refundable, because it is bought for your drive. Encryption (BitLocker, FileVault) is included when you have the key. Need a drive for your data? Buy one from us at the Amazon price, or order one online and have it shipped to our lab.
What we don't take, and why
We would rather say no up front than charge you for a case with little chance of success. We do not accept phones or tablets; drives already opened or worked on by another shop; SD cards that are physically damaged or not detected; USB drives that need chip-level work; deleted or formatted files on SSDs (the drive erases them itself); or drives where new data or a new system was written over the lost files.
